8 series was always a "wow" car.  That's... normal looking :(

I would watch the video, but I got as far as "Hi guys, I'm Schmee...."

I'd forgotten how ****ing annoying he is.

I look at him and think, there's a Yewtree op missing a kids entertainer...

Likewise, as soon as I saw his deformed smug face I turned it off.

I must have been doing well as I have never seen or heard of him before.

Opinion was made very quickly though: annoying prick.

Maybe that is why the driver was downbeat about the car as he was sat next to him.

I'd see what happens with the GC version there will be tweaks certainly.

I quite like it but not in white needs another colour.

I see BMW have stuck buttons back in their cars, and not just the idrive jobbie.

That 8 was full of buttons.

The display seemed a bit small.

I do like those original 8's.  More character and individuality about them.

You can't mistake the shape for anything else.

I still think the new one looks stunning and as for the comment on buttons BMW have had good use of buttons and Drive for a long time its a great balance.

I remember as a kid spotting my first 8-er, it looked totally unique. I can still picture it parked there today.

It could be a “in the flesh” car and in those pics it looks great. I need to be persuaded or I’m keeping mine until it starts going up in value!!

Yeah I can see that I was going to say I will be interested to see what they look like when I see one in the flesh. Certainly think they are quite colour sensitive but overall a really good looking car to me.

See what the 4 door looks like. +++

Yep, buttons and I drive is a better combo, like the Audi MMI.

Just an I drive knob and button is too complicated.

Although, probably get used to it.

The new 8, does it replace the 6 or sit above it, slightly longer, wider and quicker?

BMW never took all the buttons away, even on my 330i years ago it still had many of the normal buttons and buttons that you can set to do what you want as a quick shortcut.

As for the 8, yeah its moved even more upmarket from the 6 of before and more premium options to boot and its an entirely new car.
