bernie4253
Hello. I'm thinking of buying an A4 Avant, 2011, with Xenon self-levelling headlights. I want to register the car in France but will have to get it through the French MOT before I can and need to figure in the cost of new headlights into the purchase price. Does anyone know if these headlight can be set for a cut-off pattern dipping to the left (instead of the right on RHD models) without major expense? Scotty
Welcome to TSN. I have an MY2010 A4 Avant so it's exactly the same. I have the Xenons that do corner turning/self levelling etc. When in France I just change it on the MMI Of course all that does is change the cut off to avoid blinding on-coming drivers. I'm not sure if that's adequate for the French MOT as it doesn't move the element of the light that illuminates the kerb to the other side. bernie4253
Thanks Scotty. I'll have to do a bit of checking in France to see if it gets passed like but many thanks
