SPLiiX
Paul S3 - You insured your tyres??
Paul
yes, from the guys who fitted them bearing in mind my tyres are usually £165 quid each, you only need one puncture and its worth it. when spending £600+ quid on tyres, £60 insurance is nothing. Whilst they are legal tread of atleast 1.6mm they are insured against punctures/damage etc. If they cant plug it, they have to replace it FOC. Wether its one, or all four. up to 12 months old they will pay out 100 % after 12 months and upto 24 months they pay out 50% My tyres only last a year anyway chances are i wont use it, But i only have to have one non repairable puncture, and i am laughing. Paul
Scans of the leaflet to follow , if they come out legible. I think just over £60 quid to insure a whole set of tyres was quite reasonable. £15.20 each inc vat

RobK
Hmm, what's to stop you sticking a nail in your own tyres when they get a bit worn, and claiming on the insurance?

Sven
Didn't know that existed... Cool if you have expensive tyres. However, they do say 'similar', so they are not required per se to fit new tyres I guess? And it's limited to one claim per insurance I see. Nevertheless, it could be interesting. Paul
it would be a new tyre, and its one claim per tyre. So they will only replace each Original tyre only once.

Viraje
When picking up my S3 recently, the salesman was pushing their tyre-and-key cover, and suggested when the tyres were getting a bit thin, to 'drop' a box of nails on the drive.
