Foggy
Can't this be done on the R32 DIS ? I know it can on the A3 / S3
graeme86
Any idea of the VAG-com codes that would apply?
Foggy
It's not a VAG-Com thing. On the S3 you just push a button on the DIS when you reach the speed you want it to warn you at, from then on it will warn you whenever you hit that speed. Actually you can set it to warn you at two different speeds.
Hopsta
That will only set it temporarily for that journey only. With keys in the ignition on Posn 1 press the clock button (clock etc should now show up) Press it again for 2 secs and you will see the DIS show speeds, use the DIS toggle on the right hand stalk to change it. Once you have it set to the desired speed then leave it a few secs and hey presto its set ! Graham

graeme86
I tried out the above. I only have the half size display in R32. The clock button (in tacho) does not push in, only turns left or right to set hours and minutes display. Does anyone have a full size display (sat nav) to try this on? Thanks

Hopsta
You can only set 1 temporary ie and 1 permanent as described above. Temp one is set per journey by pressing the left hand button (under clock) at the desired speed.

Mollox
Personally I find it really annoying. When I first got the car I accidentally set it to about 35 and couldn't be bothered to find out how to stop it. So that journey (urban-ish roads) it was going off every minute. #2 has always been set at 135 so if Liz hears the beep she checks to see if i have washer fluid and if not she knows instantly i'm being a very naughty boy

graeme86
I have resurrected this from the dead for a further update. I think if you code the dash country code to "Saudia Arabia" then you get a continuous buzzer at above 125 kmh.
Disco300
Is there anything like this on the B5 Passat ... is the facility available. Same as "graeme86" my clock button doesn't press only turns each way to set the hours or mins!
