So to the meat of the matter, Phaeton V10 fantastic after 2000 miles averaging 27 mpg, on a recent 200 mile round trip I am getting 31 mpg at quite high mph, slowing down near cameras etc. far, Only complaints really so far, as with other Touareg/ Phaeton owners, is sat/nav TMC disks. I borrowed an early 2001 disk with TMC this really is something else. Over the bank holiday with traffic all over the place it was really a pleasure to be directed round jams, road works etc. This really is a selling point, it is shame that VW do not recognise what powerful message this is, with great cars like the Touareg and Phaeton.
