Blaa
I'm thinking of getting a boot spoiler to finish off the rear end of my 320i.. But should I get the standard one that comes with the M Aerodynamic Package or the M3 one. Or are they the same? M Aerodynamic
Blaa
M3 one
Snail
I prefer the first one Blaa
Ritey
err look the same to me , might be better if a dry car was used if possible so us poor blind gits can tell the difference

Ritey
Yep I'll agree with that on second viewing ! So I'll have to go with the second one
Omi
They're both identical. The angle is slightly different. *gets back in box*
Omi
*gets out of box* Why not fit a CSL bootlid?
NewNiceMrMe
Personally, I wouldn't do anything to it. Why? It's a 320i, a nice enough car in its own right, why on earth do you want to start tacking bits of bodywork on it that were never intended for it! I hate to see quality cars getting the add-on spoiler treatment! If anything, then only go for the lip spoiler - but they're so damned small no-one except you will really notice anyway! It's a lovely car as it is - why start to mess with it?
Omi
Just the CSL bootlid is a totally reversible mod which would make the back end look lovely without having anything looking stuck-on... M3Me, do we disagree on everything? hehe
NewNiceMrMe
But why...people would laugh at the CSL bootlid - it'd look silly!!! Don't do it! You'll be joining the Max Power Nil BHP club! Please don't spoil a decent car!
sayerbloke
Retro-fitting something that was offered as a manufacturer option on your model [but not taken up] wouldn't be as "Max Power" as fitting a CSL-only boot-lid though, at least. NewNiceMrMe
I agree with that. Say the boot lip spoiler was an option on the 320i - then fine. But not one that wasn't...and certainly not one from a CSL!

NewNiceMrMe
I copied and pasted...yes a row of CSL spoilers....but not on a 320i please!
sayerbloke
Yes, it looks good [very good in fact], but if you put it on a non-CSL, there are some people who will recognise that and laugh... ...and they shouldn't, cos Blaa has a damn fine car there
Omi
I think it's a subtle way of making the arse of an E46 look amazing without scaffolding and carbon-fibre Max-Power effect happening... And like I say, you can always put the stock bootlid back on afterwards!

I've been wrong before.
NewNiceMrMe
I just don't see the point of it! It'll look ridiculous! I wouldn't add one to my M3 because it IS NOT A CSL! So why would I want to put a CSL boot on it!!!
sayerbloke
It`s true that swapping the whole boot-lid over won't leave the marks that fitting a normal spoiler would. And at least it is a part on a current BMW, and not a picnic table... or a jet fighter...
NewNiceMrMe
He'll turn it into what I would see and call a Chav Car is he adds a CSL spoiler to it...
