CooperH3
Any ideas if the sports suspension on the mini cooper can be "toned down or not" by Mini garage. (are they adjustable?. Just that as much as much as I love my cooper with 17's the rides incredably bumpy over back roads. Thanks in advance
Turrican
Are you running with the run flat tyres? If so then these increase the harshness of the ride. Normal tyres should do the trick.
CooperH3
How do's normal tyres effect the sensors in the car and will a can of foam stuff and a foot pump do in emergency's do you think? Any body suggest best make for tyres (grip, cost endurance etc) P.S thanks for your advice
Ritey
Problems with using the run flats and foam is that the tyre is written off once used. If you get a nail which would normally be repairable but use the foam you have to buy a hole new tyre which would be more than the £10 to fix. If its not repairable you still have to buy a new tyre. Therefor most people opt to go with non run flats in my experience as it COULD save you money. I believe most people on this site like the Mitchlin Pilot sport tyres of Goodyear GSD3 tyres but its down to personal experience and price at the end of the day for most. loddrik
Put some 16" X-lites on (the non-Chilli 'S' wheels).
zelnik
Totally agree my mrs has a cooper with the sports suspension, I refused to even get in the car as you'd feel absolutely everything. In Germany (where we were living) BMW offer you at purchase some 15" alloys (i believe, maybe they were 16) with winter tyres on and the drive was SO much better.
