piggies
Recently asked my dealer to change the wiper blades whilst my A6 was in for a service. They very kindly supplied the blades but couldn't be arsed to put them on for me. I've been trying to get the old blades off but having no luck. I gather you slide the plastic cover back but does anyone know if you have to destroy the old blades to get them off?
Tobes49
what year A6? they changed the type off blade about 3 times int he A6 life, or take it back to the dealer and make them put them on
Mollox
Nope, if they're anything like the one's on the A3/S3 then there will be a plastic clip that sits within the "U" of the wiper arm. Clip that out and then it should be clear how the wiper frees itself
cruiser647
I have seen the new blades on the Audi VeeDubs in the showroom! They do look funky. Are they backwards compatible?

[/ QUOTE ] You have to change the wiper arms to the new spec, Should think A8 are all the same. I used Lupo GTI arms to give me the new style blades on my corrado. A8_Tony
I need some new blades, and it would be nice to get some that actually wipe the whole of the screen instead of leaving a small portion (fnarr fnarr) on the passenger side

jojo
Just email the guys at VAGparts, got some Aerowipers(silicon blades?) for both my S3 and Passat, they work really well, especially at motorway speeds.
piggies
Thanks to all for advise. Finally changed the wiper blades. Brute force was what was required. Used a screw driver to push the plastic clip back and off.
