felixthecat1
Cleaned both cars yesterday and gave them a quick waxing and rain- x treatment. Ahhh, having a nice clan car makes such a difference. Managed to get back inside before the frost hit too.

malagus
too cold here in shropshire, just freezes solid before you can get the water off. may have to go to the horrid jetwash and spray the salt off with hot water.
Durrsaku
These are not the right temperatures to be waxing surely. A wash is probably fine but polish and wax? Well unless you have a garage or the sun is shining on your car.
felixthecat1
[ QUOTE ] Well unless you have a garage or the sun is shining on your car. [/ QUOTE ] I'm cool, front of the house and drive gets lots of sun in the morning so it was quite warm yesterday when I was busy washing. To be honest, I only had a T-Shirt on and I was as warm as toast so waxing was a must.
UBM
Yep our drive in the sun. Polish and wax both dry to a haze like normal and polish up well. It's great with a drive in the sun!
bazza_g
do I clean in winter ? Well I'm going to now - here's today's result just using the pressure rinse from a jetwash and a drying towel ! Feeling very pleased with myself as it means much less time in the freezing cold ! Booster
Get some Demon Shine. I've posted about it before. Wash the car as normal, rinse and then put a capfull of Demon Shine into a bucket of water, pour over car (normally takes two buckets to do mine) and hey presto, the car is 90% dry and just needs a quick finish with a leather. Minimises the time your hands get cold!!!
Hudson
Unless my bucket freezes mid wash then come hell or high water my A6 Quattro gets the best treatment every week, and with a quick wax to boot.

Chillihead
Ok, last Sunday before Christmas, I have had a broken wrist recently so been limited to the odd jet wash, I will now, weather willing have a final clean etc before the cold snowy weather. Any thoughts or ideas? NXT + Gloss guard..................?
