DHA
Filled up the new car with diesel yesterday and i have the following observations: 1- The pump is very sensetive and the slightest touch clicks it off. 2- How much diesel can you get on the handle???? Never happens on Petrol pumps. Are these common things?
fatcat
numero 1. The pistol dispenser at the pumps have a automatic shut off pressure switch, these maybe for some reason be more sensitive on diesel pumps, have a fiddle with the nozzle in the tube next time you fill up, a small price to pay for driving a tractor though, fill and enjoy......... Numero 2 Now you're taking the piss mate , operator error that is, anyway always wear the gloves they provide......... In short, petrol evapourates much quicker than the evil oil. Is she enjoying diesel ownership so far then Dave........
DHA
Yes mate we are both enjoying the dirty fuel, nice torquey engine (bmw320d unit on the freelander) only sounds like a diesel on idle and at low revs. Nice drive but i cant wait to take it off road! Oh and i will use the gloves
