markweir2000
Coming home from work tonight and noticed the light was on is there a common possibility for this problem and anything i should do prior to taking it to the stealership could this be caused by the chip in my car any suggestions welcome
Hopsta
Could be absolutely anything, just notifies that something has been logged in the ECU. IS the car running ok? Going to be a stealer visit or VAG-com if you can get to one ? You could try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins and then reconnecting, I believe that this clears down the error codes on the off chance its just a blip. Tendaimwari
I posted the same thread a few days back. Mine was doing the same thing the nit would dissappear. Called out Audi assistance and they diagnosed it as being a faulty coolant sensor. It appears that the earlier types, black, were tempremental. What happens is that the emu measures the air temp around the engine and uses the info to determine the coolant temp. If the sensor is faulty no equilibrium is met and the light comes on. the fault is removed after a number of engine starts. Other members have had the same problem.
