activa Posted January 13, 2005 Report Share Posted January 13, 2005 I think probably the best of the bunch was the MK.3 16v! The 8v wasn't very impressive at all(apologies to 8v owners,only my opinion)and the V6 is a totally different powerplant to what most people are used to.The 16v revved crisply and had decent performance,if not electrifying.The VR6's I've driven never seemed any quicker to be honest and always felt like the handling wasn't upto scratch! So much better in many ways, but they are older and only a few good ones left I like the VR6, but for ease of use, MPGs, insurance, etc etc the 2.0 16V is the way to go.
