Toying with canning my S4 even though I luv the thing but I've never had a Porker and can't decide on a budget. Tell me to F.O if I'm being nosey but I haven't a clue with the market nor the changes from 911/996/993 etc. (heathen I know!) Keiht in Sunderland (home of football hooliganism!) Blue
a 993 4S will still fetch a 52,000.00 EUR = 35,609.70 GBP but then you got one with 1y official warrenty and all.... never buy one thru a NON-porsche dealer is my advice, i tried otherwise and almost ended up SCREWED BIG TIME luckily he had signed a contract i made with my layer and he retuned my money
Lagoo
[ QUOTE ] a 993 4S will still fetch a 52,000.00 EUR = 35,609.70 GBP [/ QUOTE ] Keith but you wont find a RHD for that kind of money in the UK and you'll have a limited choice too Think Gaster has been looking aswell as me so join the queue
Gabster
Yeah Your looking at £38-40k for a decent 993 4S. I am thinking of a Boxster know its that or a high milage 996. Fancy the boxster though with summer and all........might be looking at one in Belfast next week.
Blue
guys, like i told you before don't go the 996 route, if you look at the prices of a second hand 996 you will see what i mean, for the money i bought my 993 4S for, i could have had a 996 with same/lower mileage.... doesn't that sound bad!!!! only 3years old and already same depreciation as a 6,5y old car.... they are doomed cause they aren't special....certainly when the new model is gonna look like the old 993 again... no one will want ya 996 anymore... Woppum
Blue, have you ever driven the new M3. If you have, out of intrest how does that compare with the porche. It is just becasue as far as can see the carrera (not the 4) is the main rival to the M3 for driving thrills, but becasue i have never driven the porche, how does it compare. Blue
I'm gonna drive one next saterday mate, there will be a professional race pilot to show me the first 30min's what the M3 can exactly do, and then i can have a spin for the next 60min it may be as fast as a 993, but boy, I bet the feeling will be totally different I've driven Rob's RS4 and altough it's a BEAST it can't compare to the 993 4S in feeling it may be faster, but the TVR and the 993 are so much more feelingwise 1) you sit LOW 2) you have a racing car feeling instead of a VERY FAST CAR feeling 3) the cockpit is so small it feels wicked 4) noises are soo much more in engine, wind, tarmac, tires wise .... so i'll let you know when i've done the test in saterday I'll love, but i'm hoping i'll still love my 993 more we'll see
