dq1
Was driving my A3 1.8T yesterday when the engine management light came on. I ran Vag-com on my car and got the following code: 17705 - Pressure Drop between Turbo and Throttle Valve (check D.V.!) P1297 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent Can anyone explain the likely cause and how easy it is to fix?
Paul
could be a split or blown off hose, could be a failed DV passing. id clear fault and see if it comes back and check around your pipework.
dq1
Cleared the codes and took the car for a 10 mile spin. No more errors. Will go check the pipework, thanx Paul-S3
dq1
Checked the pipe work and no immediate cracks or splits. Have booked the car into a garage to check the problem out. I've told them I will bring a print of the fault codes as my warranty dosen't cover cost of diagnosing!
dq1
Drove up north at the weekend and after 200 miles the engine management light came back on. Ran Vag-com again when I got home and the same fault was recorded. Good job it's booked in on friday.
