Premiums will come down on GTI'S once the insurance company's get their stats for this vehicle. (ie: how many are involved in crashes/stolen etc etc) It all goes towards helping them build up a picture of the day to day risk of owning one.

Good point, although I don't actually have mine yet and will not be renewing straight away once I do. I just checked out of interest what it would be and it ranged from ridiculous quotes of £1500 down to a surprisingly good (for me at least) £570 from esure.

My gf pays more than that on her Honda Jazz!

I pay 840 on my 3.2. 29 with 8 yrs NCB!!!

i phoned everyone. 570 sounds good. If you're buying your car new, give that quote to the dealer and get him to beat it. VW insurance usually do great quotes on their new vehicles.
