johneroberts
Went to AmD today and was pleasently suprised with the repair on my MoVil 380mmm discs, after the pounding in Germany and on the last couple of trackdays, the disc were warped 3 hours and some skill from the AmD guys, and all is well, no judder and just like a vice again. DeanS3
If i get my Porka brakes skimmed will it stop them sqealing like a pig? it's just not cool when you pull up at the lights and everybody turns round and looks at because your brakes sqeal so much
bk
I had my Porsche brakes skimmed beacuase of brake judder I think or did they replace one of the discs. Too many high speed stops and not enough cooling afterwards, was the probably cause. Brakes were bedded in BTW. Brakes were squealing in the early days and due to greenstuff pads. Skimming the discs because of the noise, won't help. You need to bed in the pads further I think. I did at least 600 miles b4 the noise went. richyboy
A big cause of brake disk warp warp is- after a heavy braking session sitting with your foot on the brake. This keeps the heat in the area of Pad/disk contact, while the rest of the disk cools down, or so i was told years ago! dont know if this is any use! Johnny_TSport
Sounds like you need a trip to AmD Dean to get em to sort the brakes!!
