Had it now for 3 weeks, done over 2000 miles and love it to bits, just been too lazy to post any pictures on here until now. I originally ordered a red 3 door with cloth and 18s but changed to a silver with leather, 18s and cd changer/arm rest because of delays in build. Have to say that I am well happy that I made the change, having seen both in the flesh I think IMO silver looks much better than red and also black. The 18s are also much better cos of the colour of them and also they just fill the arches much better. Also, having now seen the cloth I personally think that leather is the better option, the quality is very good and they are heated and also electronic lumbar support is standard.

Driving the car just gets better and better, think 2000 miles in 3 weeks proves that, there is some road noise at speed etc which some people have complained about but u r going to get that on a car like this with big wheels and u have a stereo to counter this. The engine noise is awesome when booting it, it certainly makes people look round. The car attracts lots of looks and interest, almost to the point where it can become embarrasing.

Those waiting for one will not be disappointed, it is an awesome car, I cant think of a better car with the all round package.

Attached the pictures, they dont really do it much justice cos I am no David Bailey, in the flesh reflex silver looks really good on this car, especially the front cos it really makes the grill stand out, whereas on the black you kind of loose it a little.

If anyone has any questions feel free to fire away and I will try and answer them.

I saw those alloys in the local dealership and i think they look just awsome...

also like it in the silver.. my fav colour though is the grey, just think it looks great with the silver alloys and red calipers..

When i took one for a test drive i was very impressed with the engine. it pulls and pulls..

good choice!

Very nice, i got my Diamond Black 3dr GTi last Saturday, and i totally agree with you, it's a brilliant drive. I, like you, have had many looks, pass people on the street and i believe they are saying "wowww", or perhaps it's w**k**, whatever, it's great. I find cars just pull over now and give the respect due, and those who don't, if they're up for it, i burn them off. I particulary love the whistle which comes when the turbo comes in, lol....

What's that gadget on your windcreen please? Also, not sure whether you know, but can you get a digital speed display in mph, or is there just the speedometer?

Its a snooper S4 GPS and laser detector. Dunno about digital display for speedo but I use the S4 Neo which gives a digital speed reading and is more accurate than the speedo.

May i ask where you might buy one of these and what i might expect to pay?

Thanks..

You can buy them online, if you do a search for speed trap detectors a number of sites will come up, they vary in price but are around about the 300 quid mark or maybe a little less now. Worth shopping around for the best deal. Halfords also sell them but tend to be more expensive.

Love the car! Still trying to work out what colour I should order.

About the ipod holder... is this wired to the car's audio system? If so... HOW?!?. laugh.gif

Yeah the IPOD kit is hard wired into the stereo, it connects to the CD changer input on the back of the stereo and then the IPOD is controlled using the stereo controls. The kit is from Dension and is fairly good.
