dannygreenwood
Hi Im new to this forum. I recently bought a MK4 Golf. Im really happy with it. I'm just getting into the world of Mods! I have ordered some new 'cool' door pins and was wondering how easy they are to fit. It it simply a case of unscrewing the old and screwing in the new? Anything i need to be careful of? Thanks
Ritey
I believe they do just unscrew
dannygreenwood
They have arrived and i cannot see a thread in them! I went to the dealer this a.m. and asked a technician. He reckons on the MK4 they screw in a bit and they could even be glued slightly. He says I'll not be able to re-use the old ones once i have taken them off. He thinks i might have to take the door panel off ...
Ritey
Usually you have to take the pins out before you can take the door panel off, its certainly true of my Polo GTI and other vag cars I've played with
sophiem
They should just unscrew, I wouldn't have thought you'd have to take the door panel off. And as for the technician not knowing either way...I wouldn't bother going and asking him anything again, he should know. Soph
