Done! Battery was £4 from an auto store

Havent changed battery yet but its bound to go soon I reckon. Does the key need re coding after a battery change. My old Mondeo one used if you didnt do it within 30secs, until a dealer showed me a crafty trick. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Works a treat and is easy to do. Battery came from CPC on a strip of 10 for just over £2.00, a bargain.
No reprogramming or messing around with expensive VW dealers is the best bit.
