Stepa1007 Posted April 26, 2009 Report Share Posted April 26, 2009 The 968 is a real fun car and if you use the 6 speed gearbox properly has good acceleration even by modern standards. I would put at easily quicker than early boxsters. In 1999 I compared one with a 5 litre merc sports and they were on a par for acceleration (as long as you rowed the 968 with the gearbox, otherwise the Merc was easily quicker). piperboxster Posted June 15, 2009 Report Share Posted June 15, 2009 I would second that they are a fun and quick car and not much will touch them going around corners, no matter what traction control other cars have, they cant touch the near 50/50 weight distribution of the 968.
