almatth
Hello, 1997 1.4 polo, is having some problems with stalling when stopping. have just got the car, and am trying to sort out some slight niggles. The car ticks over fine once started, (Both cold and Hot) but will at times stall when stopping or when changing gear coming up to a round about etc when the cluth is depressed. It seems to be an intermittent fault as it is fine sometimes, but at other times will stall. Could it be that the car is idlng using the auto choke so seems fine when stationary and that the "normal" idle rate needs adjusting?? (When the car is running the chokke disengages, buy when clutch is depressed it then needs to reengage to prevent stalling?? and at times it does not manage this??) Any suggestions as to what could be wrong or how to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks, Andy.
