RedRobin
[ QUOTE ] ...a good idea to let your bank know beforehand just in case their security people think your card has been stolen. [/ QUOTE ] ....Yeah - stolen by a stealer-dealer! Joking apart, no regrets about any pound spent on the GTI.

RedRobin
I just walked into my bank and asked for a Bank Draft and got it over the counter within a few minutes. Showed my I.D. Cost me a tenner I think but cut out all hassle. Walked back to the stealer and collected the Throbbin' Red machine. 2,700 miles later I'm still grinning! jamiey
I'm going to Direct Debit it. I paid for 7K of the Lotus with my card... Which wouldn't chip and pin at the time so I had to sign for it... I hadn't told the bank... and they DIDN'T ask for authorisation! This time I'm going to warn them just in case.
