RedRobin
It does say in the handbook.... "(4) Button to open the menus in the combi-instrument and to switch between the menus". The above is page 20 of Booklet 3.1, with illustration of MFS wheel and under heading Multi-function steering wheel "Applies to vehicles with multi-function steering wheel". Am still waiting for a call back from my dealer!!

Markallain
Do the buttons on the wheel operate the cruise control if your have this. Also can you have cruise with the multi wheel as it doesn't seem that you can have both with the MK V R32?
Simonl
I think cruise is the Multi Wheel, or vice versa!
mixit
[ QUOTE ] Do the buttons on the wheel operate the cruise control if your have this. [/ QUOTE ] Don't know about the Mk5 R32, but my cruise is operated via the end of the indicator stalk. Unlike my old Mk4 R32, there is no speed reduction button, just speed increase. petsy
according to the gti configurator ( http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/gti/carconfig.jsp ) the multifunction wheel does not include cruise control which is an additional seperate option. RedRobin
....Huh? That's strange - My multifun wheel came with Cruise although I didn't want it! 2006 spec built 11th July 05.

[/ QUOTE ] <font color="red">Red </font>, didn't want it either and will hardly ever use it. Can you control any part of it from the wheel buttons? As I thought it was only on the stalk? Snoopy
The price lists i have early one it was an option later on it was included with the MFSW, latest one Highline is listed as been included with MFSW but not listed in the MFSW option. So who knows.
RedRobin
On mine you can only control the Cruise from the stalk (though I have never bothered to even try - Just not my style of driving).
Cleybrooke
Multi fun wheel can be had with or with out Cruise. Cruise can be had without the multifun wheel. Cruise can be used to reduce speed. The button at the end is a rocker. Up for fast down for slow. Down to set the speed. Top button id also used for resuming speed after you have diengaed cruise. aswall
Just what I was going to say. Cruise is controllable only from indicator stalk The rocker is Top - Resume/ increase speed Bottom - Set/ decrease speed Flick top on/off switch briefly to right - Suspend
