Nelson_R32
Working for Audi I drive allot of models with the interior light package. Anyone who has ever gone from a vehicle with Ambient lighting to a vehicle without will realise how nice they actually are; it feels like something is missing!! Whilst its not financially (nor pratically) viable to retrofit the Interior light package there are a couple of particular parts which are EXTREMELY easy to retrofit and those are the front and rear LED's. So today I retrofitted the front Upper Roof LED for the interior light package on my B7 today. I seriously recommened this for the price it costs and the amount of time it takes; the only tools you need are a Phillips Screwdriver and a drill! The Parts only cost £9.50 so this is a cheap mod too. Part No: 8E0919063A Whilst this will make no difference whatsover during the day, at night it creates a beautiful glow over the centre console. It looks ever better with the aluminium inlay package The only downside to this mod is that you need to drill two 5mil holes into part of your light cluster. The rest is just plug and play because the part uses existing spade connectors that are on the interior light. Pictures and write-up coming soon
UBM
Other mods please now Nelson! What about rear of the front seat storage - you know the wire basket things for the rear seat passengers - where can I get these from?
Nelson_R32
Those cost about £70 each IIRC plus fitting (about 1/2 hour each side apparently)
Chav
Is it an easy mod to put a light on the doors?... I see there's a plastic red thingy there anyway, maybe its a case of just shoving a bulb in? Also the footwell lights. How do we add those? Nelson_R32
Unfortunately those are the diffcult ones too fit, their is definately no loom for the Door ones. I haven't looked into footwell ones yet but I presume you'd need to run the wires too
Avus_Bub
Nelson I've wanted to put LED's in the rear interior lamp cluster since I got the car! (have the interior light package) Cheers for the P/No's! BUB
Nelson_R32
That part no. isn't for the rear one; just the front, PM me your Chassis and I'll get you the right Part no. for it

Avus_Bub
[ QUOTE ] I have these already... [/ QUOTE ] I've got the light pack and front LED's but no rear ones which is a bit odd. Never thought they did rears untill now. Nothing a 5mm drill bit and some solder can't sort out though. I'm sure BUB
Scotty
Rear ones?!?! I thought the S4 had all the lighting options but it hasn't got these? Would be great to have a glow on the little 'un in the back. If it's available for the B6 saloon, please let us know. Thanks.
Nelson_R32
It is, I'm just waiting for it to come off back order Its about £30 for a rear one. Their was definately a set in the last B7 with Lighting Pack that I went in. Perhaps they only introduced them from B7 onwards :S

BenjaminTDI
Where do you get the power from? is there a space there to plug it in already?
Nelson_R32
There is already spade connectors on the front light which already have power to them. So its plug and play on the front (with a little brave drilling ) and plug and play on the rear

Any particular fashion you have to remove it? I don't want to break it to pieces and have to buy a new one of those too

Ari
The only problem with the LED lighting is that it's on the dash dimmer. I don't like the dash lit up too bright as it's distracting, and anything under half illumination the roof LED's fade to nothing. Shame cos they're really cool when they're glowing bright. Especially if you're wearing an expensive and very shiny silver watch.

Nelson_R32
Theres already cylindrical (sp?) markers on the back of the trim so you don't go all wobbly on the drilling
