Original R32 Alloy - Only 67?

15 posts in this topic

IIRC, European R32's were shipped with both Ronal and OZ wheels.

Not a bad price, and I could do with a couple of these myself, but don't have the spare cash at the mo. Besides, Mauvey will up the price to beat me anyway smile.gif

OZ are the only OEM R32 wheels you can source now.

Trevor, I'm bidding on it as a spare wheel for track days, so I'm not bothered about it being refurb'd - unfortunately fleabay don't allow you to change your user name (unlike TsN!), so I'm stuck with it ROLLEY~14.GIF

Had to change my TsN name to Mook because one of my customers found posts from me on a TsN thread when they were looking for my company via Google...

I thought VW moved to Ronal as the supplier, with only the first few batches of MKIV R32s having OZ?

Makes snese if it's a referb.

If you source a new wheel from your VW dealer today, you'll get the OZ wheel. But at £320 each, you'd be better off going to www.rochfordtyres.co.uk and getting one for £151 169144-ok.gif

Have a brand new, unused Ronal sitting in me garage...........

It marks the spot where the MK4 used to sleep at night...... notworthy.gif

Seem to remeber the Ronal has like Ronal stamped on it somewhere on the inside face........

Will have a look when I get home from work............

Will have to look at that empty space where the MK4 once was................

I recently bought a new wheel and it was an OZ, I have Ronals on the car and the colour match is perfect.

Ronal is stamped in exactly the same place as OZ which is in between the bolt holes inside 169144-ok.gif

There is no difference that I can tell only the name stamp, everything else on the wheels is identical 169144-ok.gif

Thee were 3 types of Aristo, 1 x Ronal and 2 x OZ. Don't know which was which or what, but 2 were Bright Silver and 1 was chroemd look sliver.

All have the same aptr number, even tho VW told me otherwise. Later modle R32s were fitted with the chromed look wheel,

Its hard to spot the difference, but I know as I had one of the chromed look alloys and only when clean could you see the difference.
