ste7euk
Just placed my order for a 3 door, Diamond Black GTI today, chose DSG, 18’s, Xenon’s, winter pack, leather, cruise, folding mirrors, armrest, multi function wheel. I went for the standard Radio as I felt the price they charge for the sound pack is very expensive for what you get. I am going to visit my local car stereo specialist for something MP3, with a good quality sound. Does anyone have any recommendations for this? I have had lots of cars (I am a bit of a car nut) some fast, some boring, some but never a GTI. After seeing one in the flesh and then driving one I just fell in love with it. It’s not particularly quick but it does seem to do everything very well, but I can’t tell you why I love it? I have to wait up to 12 weeks for the car, which is going seem like 12 months but I am very happy with my choice and can’t wait! Steve
Muppetboy
Do you get the highline computer with mutifunction wheel? Also "not particularly quick?" On a good day it will outrun a DB9...
jd6677
Yeah the Highline is now standard when you order a DSG with the Multi Function Wheel. JD
ste7euk
It's quick enough, I just ment that I always seem to base my car purchases on how fast it goes rather than how much fun it will be. I think the GTI will be good fun and a enjoyable drive. Besides I can always chip it!
Simonl
[ QUOTE ] It's quick enough, I just ment that I always seem to base my car purchases on how fast it goes rather than how much fun it will be. [/ QUOTE ] The two go hand in hand for me. Although something can feel quick, even though technically it isn't, or vice versa! Either way, if a car feels sluggish and slow, it's never much fun IMO.
