EssFour
Mrs Four owns an A2 and it pulls tot he left pretty violently. She has had the tracking checked twice and recently had new disc and breaks fitted. My question is? Is this a common trait for 2's or is there an underlying problem say with the steering system. Thanks in advance
UBM
Sounds like a serious problem to me....
peterb
Not a problem on our A2. I suspect that yours has a significant fault.
neilp
Our's has done 40,000 miles and not had anything like that I'd get it checked out
EssFour
She is going to get it checked out at the stealers under warranty and hopefully it is fairly straightforward. Mind you her warranty is fairly comprehensive and covers most of the steering system
skipton01
Try swapping the wheels round - ie offside to nearside and vice-versa. I know this sounds potty, but it has worked for one A2OC member. Failing this, don't stop dealer-bothering until it's sorted. They all pull a little to the left (not just due to road camber either) but not 'violently'. Cheers, Mike Tech. Dir. s3ollie
if you change your wheels over left to right be sure to check if they are dirctional treads on the tyres because they may pull water in instead of dispersing it in the wet. you may need to change them back afterwards. as mikehill says it sound potty but if one tyre is worn more than the other or if one has different pressure it can cause these symptoms
