Punjabi-A4
Hey guys i need some clarification. I have a 120gb hardrive that has three parts (partitioned) the C: drive is the windows stuff and is around 8GB and the rest is used for data. Anyway When first had a hard drive (single partition) i backed up everything with Norton Ghost (it was near enough a clean install of XP). The question is how do i go about reinstalling the ghost image on the partitioned C: drive as the current one is full of shite..is there a risk of me putting the image back and it erasing my data partitons too..or will i just choose what partition i want to install to and it will only write over that? Graham
It *SHOULD* just reinstall the image on the pratition you choose, however dont take my word as havent used xp much, but this is how it works on 2000 Cheers
MarkW
Just make sure that you choose the partition, from image and NOT the disk from image option within ghost. You will get a list of the partitions on the disk to install to and you can see the sizes/labels and so on to confirm you have the right one.
