5 posts in this topic

Hi,

Have a 1999 Bora V5, at the weekend was driving about and we had a real bad storm and the roads really wet. Hit a big puddle and now have a warning that says, CHECK BREAK PADS!

This comes on and beeps every time ignition turned on.

How do i clear this?

Thanks

you need to plug in a the software...VAGCOM which will allow you to see the fault codes and then you will be able to clear the fault codes.

Okay, so you think I just need to get code cleared?

you don't think that it could have dislodged some kind of sensor?

It could be a couple of things, and dislodging the wire is one of them, so check all the connections. The sensor wires are physically connected to the pad and then up to a plug which is attached to the suspension strut.

When your pads get low, the wires touch the disk, causing them to earth, hence kicking on the light.
