Shock
Hi all.. I have had my A3 1.6 for over 4 years now and it developed a strange fault.. the dipped headlights won't come on. Checked the bulbs, the fuse, and I don't think its the switch either as the full beam switch knows the dipped beam iis switched on. Mate of mine recons it might be a relay.. but where is the relays on the A3? Help!..
iceman2002_uk
theres relays on the back of the fusebox (unscrew from car and remove back cover) and some by the brake fluid in the engine bay, not sure which is for dipped beam tho
iceman2002_uk
sorry should have said, fusebox will be behind a cover on the drivers side on the side of the dash where the dash meets the door card. failing that its on passenger side

Shock
Its not there.. I just checked it.. Any other ideas?
iceman2002_uk
well according to the audi dealer, thats where it is, but the back of the fuse board "unclips" to reveal the relays otherwise they are underneath the fuseboard. Try the engine bay also...
