i used to... but its just afecking pain in the arse... one i'd gladly pay an extra 50 quid to do without! its not like the old days with ya 386 dx40 box of joy... what the feck is the FSB clock speed anyhow? wink.gif

Bison...why not get a Shuttle XPC? about £200 they look lovely..just made one for my little sister...add a TFT and yer sorted.

With the shuttles you add the CPU, Hard drive and DVD/CDRW and bobs yer uncle.

As I'll be unemployed, you buy the bits and then pay me to build it for you...... sounds lieka good idea.

Not purchased PC bits for quite a while but Scan, DABS, Simply used to be on my browsing lists.

The Addonsonline site does look pretty good tho, AMD 2200 with all the gubbings for £330 inc VAT. (no monitor)

I don't believe that you even remember the 386 stuff when it was current wink.gif

Anyway, if you want to put some dosh my way, I'd be willing to make 'em up for you (as long as you want Linux of course wink.gif.

whasup with gigabyte boards? i have one, and its a beauty....as everyone says though, everywhere sells cheap PCs these days.......no point building yourself (unless you have very specific requirements)

scan.... wouldnt touch them again... try returning something... FIREdevil.gif had to threaten legal action by recorded delivery to get them to respond.

Dabs.. real bad reviews again with returning stuff

The supplier I use is www.aria.co.uk, the trade accounts aren't too bad, plus we have had no problem returning stuff to them. Probably spend over 10K with them in the last year.

easy! my first pc was a 386! things i could tell you whipper snappers about config.sys eh wink.gif fecking hell that was 11 years ago now...i digress.

Thanks for the links boys... really don't want a "hand" built pc though just gcoz warrenty claims are a pain in the ASS... gonna check out the shuttle XPC thingy...

might just go with www.addons.co.uk again though... have you checked out those porno cheiftec purple cases they do? is right!
