18 posts in this topic

Thinking of getting one. Maybe Xmas present ... what's the best UK only (don't need abroad - usually hire if abroad) SatNav package IYHO?

Thanks! beerchug.gif

It has to be the TomTom for value I reckon ++ The new TomTom One is only £199 which is a bargain IMO.

Oops - thought I'd posted an apology for the spelling! Friday night has to be the worst for this. I'd had a couple of glasses of wine by then, but not that many!!! Thanks for the toned down replies!!! UHOH7.GIF

Back on thread I would have said after market Tom Toms are rated the better of the bunch. Otherwise RNS-E is good but you have a bit of an issue in that you have to buy an Audi with that...... smashfreakB.gif

Getting back to the question.

I have to recommend Smartnav.

(i)Good Guidance

(ii)Speed Camera Detection option

(iii)Takes account of traffic conditions and diverts you around them (most of the time anyways)

(iv)Best of all you dont have to constantly worry about leaving it on view in the car.

Also has a tracking option.

Not the cheapest but IMHO the best value.

My TomTom One served me well driving all the way from Swindon to the Scottish Highlands and when I was out in the Eifel Mountains.
