IT_S8
Sadly not in the UK as BWM UK still insist on selling those silly rear wheel drive only models, but in France I saw a new shape 535 xd saloon making its way south. For the unknowing, the x denotes 4 wheel drive, and is very popular in south france, switzerland, the alpes etc... They brought a few boring underpowered 525xi petrol models to the UK in the 90's but didn't really market it much... They do the 3 series 4 wheel drive too... gizze
And did you know that BMW sells more 4x4's than any other premium brand, outselling Audi by around 40%.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm sure that would be due to the X5 & X3 sales. Remember that the 4x4 sales often don't relate to cars that have 4 wheel drive, merely the 'off-roaders' that companies sell. If this is the case then I'm not surprised they outsold Audi, because until the Q7, Audi didn't really have a '4x4' off road vehicle for sale. Don't fancy going off roading in my A8 either, ta very much
rothwell
I saw a few 4Matic Merc's in Germany & Poland while I was away.
gizze
Apparently BMW sell more 4x4 saloons and estates than either Mercedes or Audi do, the X5 and X3 have taken the figure even higher, but they still sell more Xi/d cars than Audi sell Quattros.
