Baldrik
When I picked up my GTi from the German dealer he told me the first service would be required in 2 years. I would imagine the service light would come on before 2 years anyway.... I am a bit sceptical as the warranty is only valid for 1 year so maybe I should stick it in for a service before then? Snoopy
It often pops up at about 18,000 or so depending on driving style it could be less, when its set to longlife service. If its not set on longlift it will popup saying a service in one year or ~10,000 miles.
fresco1
Was admiring the fact last week that I had 12K miles to run before first service. Later that day, got side-tracked by a Boxster (ahem!) and now I have 9K to that same service ... ! Driving style indeed.
RedRobin
Mine popped up at 15,000 miles and I had her serviced at 16,700. Was much cheaper waiting to have my dealer fit the Carbonio during the service session. Next one expected around 30,000. Am now at 23,000 and she's feeling really loose and responsive.
