Speedywheels
Very tempted to see if my dealer will put me on a waiting list...................if one exists (a list, not the car )
Calm Chris
Scirroco is due Nov 07 according to stuff I read last week. The Golf RSi was a 4 cyl yank project 12 months ago, I wonder.......... Will it be a :- R32 turbo engine 5 cyl audi RS3 rumoured mill Size adjusted R36 engine from the Passat 2.o FSi with twin supercharge and turbo, a big version of the 1.4 The R36 USA car puts out 280 bhp, so 300 bhp for UK seems odd for a car already being sold in the states. Could you post a linky from your source??

They need to swap the steering wheel and a couple of other things over. I reckon we can expect it in the UK around April 2008.
Snoopy
I don't like the RS name badge it always reminds me of a scetch by the two Ronnies many years ago with two farmers i think it was with very strong accents talking to each other. RS would sound like aRSe when they said it. I guess Worsal Gummage would say it the same way too when i think of it. So i can only laff at how they would pronoince Focus RS. Or RSi

Woppum
Thing is though, its called a Golf RSi. It has the golf name in it. The R32 was never called a Golf R32. This was a marketing move by VW to try and disattach the R from 'lesser' golf models to make it seem more special. You get my confusion?

Mattchaps
however, I have always known it as an "R32", and it annoyed me when I have to explain to people that it is a VW Golf! They clearly have no knowledge in cars whatsoever!

braywick
I spoke to my cousin yesterday who is a sales manager at VW, and she said nothing has been confirmed. The plot thickens.. To be honest I'm not fussed, I'd rather spend the extra money on mods.

Mook
Interesting one that - it's not said 911 on the back of Porkas for a long, long time, but people still call them 911, rather than their proper name (i.e. 997 GT3 RS). Oh, did you mention you wanted one Wopps..?
