Full internal release here;

Introduction of the new E61 M5 Touring - Week 10 Production

We are pleased to announce the introduction of the new E61 M5 Touring from week 10 2007 production.

This is the first time that BMW UK has offered a high-performance Touring from M GmbH. The new M5 Touring is powered by the same award-winning 5.0-litre V10 engine as we have already seen in its Saloon counterpart. Boasting an enormous 1,650 litres of boot space, the M5 Touring will be able to move sizable loads very quickly, only sacrificing 0.1 seconds in the 0-62 mph sprint over the M5 Saloon.

Launch Date

M5 Touring is due for launch in the UK on Thursday 7th June 2007.

Shame they didn't do a 90 litre tank option on this.

It is a seriously tempting car though, more so than the saloon or the M6 to be honest.

I presonally think the touring is the most suitible shape, the 5 series is a big car, in 3 series form I get why the coupe would always sell best, but when you are looking at a 5m, 2 ton motor the touring makes more sense than any of them.

But then you have the B5 alpina touring and the new B3 alpina touring too, apart from the fact they loose so much I guess they make even more sense?
