kace2006
Im thinking of retrofitting the new Audi S6 daylight running lights on my A3 8P. What do you guys thinks of the DRL's so far, i guess not many S6's in the UK yet for you to see, but those that have, what do you think of it? Chavvy or sleak? fingermouse
ultimate chavvy fog lights
kace2006
i've seen them in person, and they look stealthy. Gives the car a real "low" look. In my opinion, more aggressive than chavy. But opinions welcome.
Tunbridge
I've only seen one S6 on the road and thought it looked the business with the DRL, not sure how they'd look on an A3...
R32Ash
They look extremely Chav. There's no way I'd retrofit something like that! It would just look like you were driving around with your fog-lights on when it's not foggy (albeit legally I suppose). I hope that on the S6 they aren't impossible to switch off. sufu
[ QUOTE ] I hope that on the S6 they aren't impossible to switch off. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think you can, as there's european legislation coming into effect soon that mandates all new cars have DRL.
S3Rob
I like them on the S6, it will be interesting to see what your's looks like. Good effort on getting them working anyway.

1ndy
The WIP looks pretty good. IMO if you like it then go ahead and do it (each to their own). Get the final pics up here once its all done.
h5djr
All new A3s fitted with Bi-Xenon headlights come with them as standard. I've seen them on A3s in Austria where they are required by law and they look fine. Better than driving with dipped headlights during normal conditions in daylight. On the A3 the headlight levelling switch is used to turn them on or off. Levelling switch is not required as Xenons have to be self-levelling. DRLs will be a legal requirement in all EU counties within a few years.
