Pincher
I think you have to drill them in - PM S4_PW - he'll be able to confirm but I think he was too scared to try it in his/my car

UBM
I have retro-fitted them to my B7 avant. Yes, you need to drill some holes in the top of the door frame and in the door. But they look good!

Fergy
is there not a way of retrofitting the OEM avant ones. Ive got them on mine from new and they look the dogs nuts. Aftermarket ones IMO just look like an afterthought
UBM
I have rterofitted the OEM avant ones!
P_G
When you say the OEM ones UBM, are they the ones that are actually housed in the door trim rather then the ones you screw the roller mechanism box onto the trim?
Scotty
I've retro fitted OEM ones but they are an add on. I couldn't be arsed to try and do the real thing. New doors inners etc etc. They add on's were expensive enough.

MarskeBear
Lad at the audi body shop said that you could actully order the windows tinted and replace the standard windows...wasnt sure if you could get saloon windows but avant was fine. Also said that they had had probs with a local company doing windows and them have in water and not being very good at all, he couldnt remember the name.... UBM
I got mine from Nelson. They come with comprehensive fitting instructions. Took about 1 hour tops!
AvantSE
Yep, I have added them to my Avant too - really, really easy to do as long as you just work through it steadily and drill the holes in the right place - measure twice, drill once...
