shao_khan
It can cause some problems - but then again ou could be ok. On some of the later models it can lead to contamination and clogging of the Mass Aiflow meter/sensor which can lead to fueling issues and possible problems with the way the car runs - on my TT it sufered some real flat spots when accelerating - AmD identified problems with teh MAF and when it was changed problems went away. The airfilter can cause problems for this because it can allow more dirt particale to pass into the system and the oiled types can also lead to oil particles passing and sticking to the sensor. Also on certain engines you can actually see a performance drop when fitting certain filters.
