AlanH
These figures from VW, and based on the manual gearbox: Urban: GTi - 25.4 Ed30 - 24.8 Extra-urban: GTi - 44.8 Ed30 - 44.1 Combined: GTi - 34.9 Ed30 - 34.0 I would imagine that the difference can be explained by the extra weight of the red stitching
njc851
i drive 25 miles to work and then back again (after work, obviously?) in the R32 and doing a steady speed of 80ish when on the motorway, normally from a cold start, but rarely sat in much stop/ start traffic and some good blasts and the avg MPG normally shows 29/30 mpg by the time I'm parking up. Always amuses me for the first 5 mins as the avg MPG shows 6 or 7 mpg and I think I should have bought a Hummer! had the car a year now, 18000 miles, MPg and oomph all improving all the time.
