Dave
[ QUOTE ] Well done. I have not checked the specs yet, but £40k for the S5 is ok. [/ QUOTE ] I agree, for once Audi give us a lot of car, for a decent price. Still, i expect some options to go on that.. but i would/will be happy around the 45K mark. Dave
Actually, i wonder how much this car will eat into TT sales? And, can some-one give me a pointer when the PDF sales brochure is out.. cheers

18ME
[ QUOTE ] Couldn't find the mpg for the S5. [/ QUOTE ] No, I looked for that too. They put all the other's consumption figures down but not the 4.2. I'm quite releaved at the basic price and its got a bit more std spec than the S4 too, did notice they've not included auto dimming mirror as std. Wonder how much they'll ask for satnav, surely it can't be that much as the screen is already there?
S3Rob
As long as it rides properly and drives well then Audi have got a hit on their hands with this. Very sensible pricing, they've obviously given careful thought to what the M3 will come in at. Nice to see 19's as standard and those LED sidelights RS5 after the forthcoming RS6? Merlot
Your logic is correct but the R8 has a screen and they still ask loads for the nav module to be slipped in.

mark88
I can't quite decide whether to plump for an S5 or get a used RS4, prices are going to be the same.
techieboy
[ QUOTE ] I can't quite decide whether to plump for an S5 or get a used RS4, prices are going to be the same. [/ QUOTE ] S5 seems like quite a lot of car for the money. Only problem is, I'm not sure the bloody thing will fit in the garage. It sounds long. The RS4 will definitely fit though. [/ QUOTE ] it is long, that's the only thing putting me off. RS4 is 4589mm vs the S5 being 4635mm, so really 46mm difference is nothing! (have I calculated this right?) Ofcourse the S5 has a much longer wheel base as well
rottenbend
I think a trip to the dealer might be in order
S3Rob
Anyone know the weight of the S5 yet? Doubt this car will ever get the 4.2 diesel then as it would be very close to the S5 in terms of performance.
Sparky
I think Audi have priced that well. Stunning new look, supposed to handle very well, great engines and reasonable kit levels. Are Audi listening to their customers finally?!
Riz
I think a RS5 would really help! Just do the bodywork and drop in the RS4 V8 lump! Riz
ian_m
Yeah! Then you could order one!

Sparky
Go on Scotty! You know you want one. I'd buy your S4 too, so it's almost easy.
Phantom
Can't believe Audi add the interior pack as a standard fit to the S5 meaning it is still a £180 option across the rest of the range, makes you mad that they can penny pinch so much ,
CarMad
Just found this as well. Shows the lights on off, interior etc. Looks good.
SamD
I am stunned a the S5 pricing, for once Audi don't seem to be taking the p*ss So S5 or 996 C2, that is a tough one (although I don't think the S5 will fit in my garage )
