RedRobin
....What would it be for you? I used to drive a 1,000cc Fiat Panda as a second car and it was great fun and extremely practical. Lacking real power but was okay once wound up. So......... Having read about it in the new mag title "Performance Tuner", I would seriously consider the latest Panda 100bhp 115mph 6-speed 1,368cc 43mpg for a fiver less than 10 grand. A car of great character and could be modded!! I don't suppose that many of you here are old enough to remember this:
Bounce
I'd go back to a clio, i loved my little throw about heap
cruiser647
Punto Grande I suppose. But I would feel so cramped and parking it would take me ages! I find parking a large car much easier than a small one.
Tarmac_Terrorist
I would buy another TSI engined Golf. Good residuals, almost diesel like economy and reasonable performance.
SamD
The A2 for me. Fun to drive, lots of room, easy to park, and 60MPG

Scotty
I think a GTi is a pretty good balance of performance, trim, residuals etc and as a hatch it's also practical. Sounds fairly sensible to me

Ian_C
Fabia vRS. 1.9 litre engine from a large family saloon stuffed into the front a small hatch. Ring any bells........ Ian

330dcoupe
I'd go for something like a Toyota Aygo or a Honda Jizz. Then again, i'd find it hard to drive a sensible car after being in something that has over 400Ib ft of torque.

[/ QUOTE ] No! That's a 600! [/ QUOTE ] Is it? Well it's a an Abarth that's for sure, and I used to love the way the boot stayed open and showed the oil cooler-they occasionally turned up at Italian car shows but are very rare in Britain. Think I'd go for the Suzuki Swift as I saw a new one at the weekend and it looked very good indeed.
theduisbergkid
I would go for a (used obviously) Lupo Gti. Small, quick, economical and fun. A bit like the original Golf Gti in fact.
