shocked.gif Are they on crack!! For that money you don't even get Recaros, decent wheels or an "S" chassis for that matter. And as i said, I only specced it to match my S3 (where possible) - didn't even START to play with the other options!! suicide.gif

No thanks smile.gif

i specced up a 1.6 A3 to a resonable spec and it came to nearly 20 grand so i'm not surprised. i reckon they are definately on crack. just get a new golf instead. same car for less money.

the good thing is that S3 prices will stay pretty solid because the new one is so expensive.

I was suprised when I compared the spec of an S4 vs M3 - there's about £3k difference in list price, but when you add:

Leather

Metallic paint

Cruise Control

Park Distance Control

Memory seats

etc, the BMW is actually a bit cheaper.

Why would you want the £1,450 DSG box if you are looking to spec it like an S3?

[/ QUOTE ]

True! Forgot i'd clicked that - happens to me with pesky options smile.gif

But on the other hand, it might as well do SOMETHING better than the S3 wink.gif And its still not exactly good value at £26.5k either!!

Fontain have an as new March 03 silver with 12,000 Miles for £22,995 retail. So trade would be about £19,500 - £21,500

I started to spec out the 3.2 A3, but gave up because it looked like it was coming out too expensive. £28k for a none "S" medium hatchback is robbery (or stupidity if you buy one).

Oh, and What Car? didn't think too much of th 3.2's handling either frown.gif

Guess it'll have to be something else instead sekret.gif
