S3Rob
To be shown at the Frankfurt motorshow in September. Big shock (to me at least) is that it apparently is coming with only 270ps from the 2.0 tfsi. Only 5 up on the S3. Maybe Audi don't think they can increase the power without big investment? Also coming with S3, S8 wheels as standard which will upset a few. DSG gearbox makes it and obviously haldex quattro as well. So, this should come in at about 1300kgs then with 270ps. Quite a rapid machine, will look forward to a test drive of this. Looking good for 13.0 sec 0-100 I reckon. Autoblog.nl
Merlot
I think you are being a tad optimistic on the weight. The FWD 2.0 turbo comes in at 1260kg and the 3.2Q at 1410kg and the weight spread between 3.2 and 2.0 turbo A3 quattros' is 65kg so my guess would be 1345kg. Gosh - what a spotters' answer. Merlot
Oh, and the S3 is 1455kg so the TT S is going to fly - it will smash 13s to 100 IMHO. Shame I don't like the noise and the low end pick up of the 2.0 turbos'. Oh well, I will have to stick with the 3.2. Anyway I wouldn't be sure they would do the TTS as a Roadster. shao_khan
I wonder if the problem doesnt relate to power from the engine, but keeping Torque to an acceptable level for the DSG gearbox, without having to put an expensive version of that in the car? Merlot
I'd take the manual in any case. What I'd really like to see is an S3 Sportback with Magnetic Ride - space for the family.

[/ QUOTE ] Yep could be, I think 350nm would be the highest torque put through DSG so far?
