rotarynut
This set of photos convinced me on the beauty of the 135i coupe. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=

mooret
Just seen these on another forum....ahem. Convinced it says 128i on the boot!
D1MAC
Not remotely convinced I'm afraid. To my eyes the proportions are inherently wrong - to get enough height in the cabin, the glasshouse has to be a bit too tall for the length & nature of the car. However, at the same time, in order to get that glasshouse up and down in a non comedy fashion, it becomes a bit too long for the car's length and so the boot looks truncated. That's before we get to the rear on view - I think that if it ever happens, the 3 door 135i is the way to go

TheReflex
That is horrible. Why did they add the boot?
Sparky
Yes, convinced me. Fugly. The 1 series was never a real looker to me, but that's even worse
AZURES3
I like it a lot, not a fan of the current 1 series but this looks good IMHO. If Audi dont do an RS3 then this is the new daddy in the power war. Definetly worth a test drive etc AZ
TheReflex
The boot makes it look even more like a poor mans 3 - series. They could have made this car look like the z4 m-coupe , but this is awful.
ian_m
As mentioned above - it has convinced me!!! That BMW are seriously wide of the mark with that one (all in my opinion ofcourse )

m4ttm4son
Does look a bit better than the last pictures. ie spoiler and gps shark fin always make the difference, but I still don't understand why it's got a boot
J_C
Catastrophically ugly IMO. It looks like the bastard child of a Hyundai Accent/Vauxhall Belmont/Focus Saloon gang bang. Either that or it's the product of two drunk designers wrestling over the CAD software. I'm sure it'll be fantastic performance-wise but it's an aesthetic mess in my eyes (although not sure if it's quite as bad as the hatchback...) CarMad
I think its trying a little to hard yes, but it does make some of the current Audi's look a little boring on the styling side. Something between the two would be perfect. Why oh why didn't they bring out the A5 concept.
Ben
I must say that I like the idea of putting big engines in small cars but BMW should have quit whilst they were ahead (if you can call it ahead) and stuck with the 3 door jobby. The coupe will make the 1 series even more of a target for ridicule than it already is. The worst thing is the front, why oh why did they not address this with the facelift then I'm sure it would sell more. The car itself is good, I had one for a week and enjoyed it. But then again I've got an X3 and a lot of people don't like that, so I guess it's horses for courses
Scotty
The rear 3/4 angle makes it look terrible! Yuk!
