robintegra
Thanks red, i didnt want it ti be over the top but i wanted something different front the usual silver wheels etc, Would you give thumbs up to the Revo red? i had my old GT TDI remapped and noticed big difference, Rob
RedRobin
Deffo thumbs up for the Revo. It's not the only good remap out there but takes DSG into account and delivers power smoothly all the way up. I would go for Stage1 even if you plan to spend the extra £50 for Stage2 later. But what other performance mods you have will also contribute. Also, Revo have an excellent aftersales service in my experience.

RedRobin
....Stunning!! I like the way the white front splitter shape matches the rear .:R white shape. Also I love the black VW badge. Just one question: Did you consider having red edges to your alloys instead of white? - I think it looks great in white though and red might not have suited it better. I guess I'm just thinking of the logic of matching the red line grill surround (which I'm glad you didn't change). Imo you've perfectly preserved the GTI-look even with a R32 rear, probably helped by being honest and keeping the GTI badges. martialyang
Excellent modding Robintegra Nice attention to detail, I especially like what you've done with the white rims on the wheels and you've got the body kit (front spoiler, skirts and rear bumper/exhaust) just like I want mine How troublesome was it to get the R32 style exhaust fitted? Vman
It looks amazing, where did you buy the exhaust from, I have heard rumours that milltek where working on making an R32 style exhaust for the GTI.

Gemmzl
Hats off to you. You've completed an amazing job on your car. Every time i see the pics, i want to go for white!
Snoopy
I have seen the red line on the wheels somewere before. Was it SEMA spec Jetta & Golf GTIRs?
dazdot
[ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] That is the nicest modded Gti I have ever seen, well done it looks fecking great.
SamD
If I still had my Candy White GTI I would be looking at a few of those mods - in fact all of it bar the exhaust
Gemmzl
Correct me if i'm wrong. But if you had a Candy White Edt 30 and painted the Wheels and did the same exhaust job, would it be the same? (it's giving me ideas, as i'm after a edt 30!!!......)
oxfordlad
very much in keeping with the GTI looks I think and not some horrible chav monster, so well done! one unique set of wheels there! white does look awesome
cah
OMG candy white - had an old polo that was candy white - terrible colour back then. (M reg). Also they said they stopped making candy white and we couldn't get any touch up stick for it (S reg time). Has it improved? Even clean it didn't look very good - probably needed hours of waxing and polishing or whatever needs to be done.
robintegra
Cheers everyone, I used to have a Black Gti and that was horirble to keep clean, White is very easy if you get lots of wax on there, I dont think an ed30 with the extras would look same copycat
RedRobin
Whereas I'm clearly cool about modding a GTI, I think I would hesitate about modding the bodywork of an Ed30. I possibly am attaching too much value to them as a special or limited edition.

cah
Actually I should've said - OMG candy white - how did you get it looking so great. Like the mods too - especially the tailpipe. Almost made me want an R32 when I saw one in the street until I realised i had no money. I think modifying an ED30 defeats the point too. ACtually - one question - does changing from 17" to 18" or 18" to 19" change much? I guess you get more grip from the bigger wheel size, but do you get a noticeably worse ride in terms of comfort and cabin noise?

robe
TBH I wasnt sure that the white rim would work (in that it might look a little fussy) from the mock ups you did, but the end result is really very very nice! Black mirrors would finish it off i think?
Snoopy
I know i had seen the white rim/white paint combo somewere before. http://images.worldcarfans.com/tuners/7070521.001/7070521.001.1L.jpg
