Porsche to make a Golf sized car?

OK so not a Golf as we know it now but a Golf sized car. Stupid, well maybe or maybe not, it seems they are worried about CAFE legislation (corporate average fuel economy) in the USA that looks at the average fuel economy across the entire range of a manufacturer.

So we had them as a sports car maker, then it was as an ugly 4x4 car maker now it might be to make cars that go against the BMW 135i or Audi S3, its certainly an interesting prospect that's for sure, but will it dilute the brand even more I wonder.

If it happens we will have a new forum up and running soon with Redrobin to make his 50,000 post before the weeks out.
