Default A4 2.0TDI (140) advise....

Fuel not getting any cheaper & considering bluefin or similar to help with mpg. (well that should sell it to the misus)

Any info on experiences would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

I found REVO fantastic on my A4 S-line 2.0 TDi. Similar power curve to OEM and I could easily get 48mpg I could only get around 44mpg standard!

It was 187bhp and 297 lbs/ft of torque IIRC

I doubt you'll improve your fuel economy when you're chipped, as you'll just drive faster!

On paper, yes, there will be an increase but I don't know anyone who drives the same as they did before the chip. I know I never did...

I thought I'd just tag my post onto this thread, as it's related.

With my car now out of warranty my thoughts are returning to tuning. I've been doing some internet work and came across this offer on Audi-Sport and would appreciate some comments on it. I know nothing about tuning or tuning companies and £350 is a lot of money to waste.

Chipped UK are suppliers to a lot of smaller tuning companies who market their products as their own. I know a local tuning company to me who use them all the time and they've never had any problems in the 2 years of using them.

Not come across that box though, but no reason why it shouldn't work. Switchable maps are great (I have a 3 way switch on my track toy with an Emerald ECU) because you can switch instantly if they provide the option between sensible, fast road and track - also known as wife, normal and fast as feck...

I've heard of that box but not seen it in action. Very similar to Bluefin in the way it works, switchable maps is a good idea.

And of course, doing it yourself saves the hassle of travelling
