I'm normally a Black Car man myself, but they say a change is as good as a rest. Off to wash before the rain comes again!

Ed: that looks the absolute business mate. I really can`t imagine anyone needing any more from a car than the 335d can provide.

Well done, and glad you like it.

Thanka encee, yes very happy. Think this should keep my interest for a while!

It has service pack so no costs apart from tyres for a while either.

BMW do have the best diesels at the moment! Do like the wheels (and car!), very easy to clean!

Easy to clean, but show up the hubs (rust) which is a bit annoying!

Very nice Car mate glad you are enjoying it.
This "Camera thing" just what does it do?.Is it speed cam info?.
I ask as I could soon be a 635D owner.

Hi John,

Someone (cleverer than me) has worked out how to hack the DVD and add to the POI (points of interest) database which has hotels, petrol stations etc, and add the camera/frequently used mobile locations. Once you look for nearby poi's on the Nav system they then all show on the map. So presto you have a camera icon for every camera etc. There are sites showing how to do it yourself (looked hard work to me!), or you can download a torrent where someone has done the work. (assuming you have the equivelant BMW disk already). I downloaded it and burnt to a DVD-RW, and it worked a treat (updated the NAV os also).

That looks the business ED.

I sometimes wonder if I should have gone for the coupe rather than the 5.

Sure it'll keep you ammused for a while... and a remap (which I'm about to sort) will keep it going further should you need a bit more.

Have heard about the POI DVD hack on E60.net, but you don't get an audioble warning, just visual in the iDrive dispay, so not bothered (I need a siren to remind me!)
