My only criticism is it doesn't have a carry case for when you remove it from the car.... I can see the screen getting scratched in my pocket, or if placed in 'other halfs' hand bag

....I got a protective carry case with mine. I'm not sure it's produced for Origin, but it does the job.

Went up to GTI International yesterday - A round trip of 409 miles on all sorts of roads. I've got used to the small screen now and it communicates clearly. TSNer LeeR has one and is also enthusiastic about it.

I'm able to watch my speed much more easily with the PogoAlert .

How much are the annual updates. and does it use the same power connector as the RA2?.

Annual updates fee is £50 (I think).

Different voltage than New Road Angel but don't know about RA2.

RA2 is 12/13.4V standard, I was wondering what sort of PX I would get on mine against this one?.

Pogo is 5V.

I px'd mine at Networx Automotive: 0870 350 1345.

I got £100 px for my New Road Angel. And you've got 14 days to send your RA in after you recieve your goods from Networx. They are quite open about what they do - Regularly sell them on fleeBay at a small profit but they gain from the quantity sold. I might have got £20 more by selling privately on fleeBay but I've avoided the hassle and commission and postage etc, so I'm very happy.

Still too much crap all over the dashboard though, don't you think?

This install of the Valentine 1 in the mirror is an excellent idea imo.

Rear view mirror device looks very cool but as I like to watch my speed (6pts and 3 stops in 9 months!) the best place for me is still as in my first posted pic in this thread.

How do you get on with the Valentine at night?

That's not mine Robin.

I have a MicroPilot Go, and I have to say I do appreciate it to the right of my instrument cluster more now I have the 3 series for exactly the reason you say.

When I had the 5 series with the heads up display it was just a camera alert.

That is how it looks when you focus on it.

However when you look at the road ahead it seems to shrink and not annoy at all.

I give it 5 years before every car has this feature, makes long journeys so much easier, you really benefit when you are getting tired.

.... That's ideal. The nearest I can get to that for now is the PogoAlert.

Are there no rechargeable units that do a job like the PogoAlert - so that you don't have to have the dashboard furniture?
